Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cut loin in half, or you could use two smaller loins.
Step 2
Cover both halves with BBQ rub, cover and place in the fridge for 24 hours.
Step 3
Place in slow cooker side by side.
Step 4
Cook on low untill pork pulls apart easily (6-10 hours).
Step 5
When pork is falling apart easily, remove and place in a large bowl to shred. Shred pork with two forks, until you have all shredded.
Step 6
Pour liquid from slow cooker into a container SAVE TO use.
Step 7
Place shredded pork back into slow cooker.
Step 8
Add the package of dry onion soup mix
Step 9
Add the liquid from cooking back into slow cooker, Mix it all up.
Step 10
Add 1/2 cup water- mix it up.
Step 11
At this point you may add your BBQ sauce and mix up, or save to serve it on the side.
Step 12
Let cook on low for 45 minutes then turn to keep warm before serving.
