Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Heavily butter a 9x9 pan.

Sift dry ingredients together.

Pour into pan bake until done about 12 minutes (Ellie said 20 minutes, I trust her)

Until lightly browned.

Very good cornbread but I cooked it for about twice the time as indicated. I used buttermilk for the sour milk which worked out well for us. Thanks for sharing!
