In most communities large and small Canada Day is for most part kicked off with pancake breakfasts. While we didn't have a breakfast or brunch gathering this weekend, we have our favourite recipes when we do.
A wonderful Zazz find Galley_Wench's http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/pancakes-for-two-2917 has been added to our Breakfast and Brunch Cookbook. We all love those pancakes!

A must make on special occasions are my grandma's waffles, served with a variety of toppings our favourite being strawberries and whipped cream.

When having weekend company or needing a make and take everyone loves cinnmon bun ring. Super easy looks like you spent hours in the kitchen. No leftovers with this one. I call them mini cinnamon buns. Very imressive when baked in a bundt pan.

I prefer to using the feathery Feather Bread dough - http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/feathe ... d-buns-127

A great addition to a pancake breakfast is sausage and eggs, a family favourite from our Family Cookbook -

I am going to a BBQ this weekend. I will try to photograph. Certainly taking pics of us from the factory having fun! You might see me on ski's. Water ski's that is!

Looking forward to it, but need a recipe. Making tater salad, but what else should I bring?

OH yeah, bringing coleslaw too. But since its like 5 couples getting together and one is bringing all the entertainment (boats, jet ski's) They are free from cooking, so its up to us for the rest. We hope to catch fish to grill, I am bringing hamburger and steak, but need to bring side dishes. Beans would probably be good or atleast appreciated. What else?
