"This is a recipe I have used for many years for a quick and easy dessert. The orange is used with the skin on. I sometimes add chocolate chips and nuts to this recipe, 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or 1/4 cup unsalted crushed nuts, although I think you could use any nuts really or even some dried fruit. This is a very moist cake, so I serve it warm with cream, although it can be served cold with a citrus icing."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Wash and dry the orange.
Step 2
Cut the orange into quarters and remove any pips.
Step 3
Place the first 5 ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Step 4
If using the optional ingredients listed in description then ~ wait until the mix is well blended, then stir in the choc chips only, or the nuts or both!
Step 5
Pour mix into a greased and lined 20cm baking tin and bake at 180dg for 50 minutes.
Step 6
Serve warm with cream, or let cake cool and ice with a citrus icing.
