"This is such a festive looking fudge and a great change-up to the normal chocolate fudge. Feel free to leave the maraschino cherries out and substitute coarsely chopped walnuts. Or use both. From Gooseberry Patch."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine sugar, sour cream and butter in a medium sized pan.

Step 2

Bring mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.

Step 3

Boil for 7 minutes or if using a candy thermometer bring it to a soft ball stage.

Step 4

Remove pan from heat and stir in white chocolate until melted.

Step 5

Add marshmallow cream and walnuts.

Step 6

Beat by hand until completely blended.

Step 7

Spread into a greased 9x9 inch baking pan.

Step 8

Cool at room temperature.
