"My family love this easy tuna casserole, and my kids eat the peas to! For a cheese topping: In place of the breadcrumbs, top with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese over hot casserole. For Chicken Noodle Casserole: Substitute about 2 cups cooked cubed chicken for tuna. "

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Stir soup, milk, peas, tuna and noodles in 3-quart casserole. Add in salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes or until hot. Remove and stir.

Step 2

.Mix bread crumbs with butter in bowl and sprinkle over tuna mixture. Bake for 5 minutes more.

Made because I was hungry for the nostalgia of an old, but easy-fix family favorite. I halved the recipe for 2 of us & the yield was perfect for 2 meals. I made chgs I hope you'll forgive as I don't feel they disturbed the heart of the recipe. I used spiral pasta I had on-hand & subbed carrot & green pepper for the peas/corn. We're not fond of peas & I had no corn. Cook time was spot-on & the texture was perfect. Thx for sharing this tasty recipe. (A pic will post on 2/14)
