Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix the flour, with the salt and pepper and sprinkle over both sides of the steaks.
Step 2
Melt the bacon drippings in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear both sides of the steaks.
Step 3
Place the steaks in a large casserole dish and set aside.
Step 4
Add the onions to the skillet and cook until translucent while scraping up the bits on the bottom of skillet.
Step 5
Add the remaining ingredients, stir and heat through.
Step 6
Pour over the steaks and cover the casserole dish.
Step 7
Cook in a preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven, until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
