Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds buffalo (4 buffalo steaks)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup beer

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the flour, with the salt and pepper and sprinkle over both sides of the steaks.

  • Step 2: Melt the bacon drippings in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear both sides of the steaks.

  • Step 3: Place the steaks in a large casserole dish and set aside.

  • Step 4: Add the onions to the skillet and cook until translucent while scraping up the bits on the bottom of skillet.

  • Step 5: Add the remaining ingredients, stir and heat through.

  • Step 6: Pour over the steaks and cover the casserole dish.

  • Step 7: Cook in a preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven, until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

  • Step 8: Enjoy!
