"I modified the name of this Taste of Home recipe to add "Holiday Leftover Genius" because I've never seen a holiday meal leftover recipe that used so much of the meal to make a genuine crowd-pleaser. TOH gave credit to Tamara Furda of Naperville, Illinois for her creative way to use holiday leftovers including turkey, stuffing, gravy, veggies & mashed potatoes. It's essentially a Shepherd's Pie w/a crust twist. I cannot wait to surprise my Siggi w/this meal. -- Altho the recipe lists broccoli as the veggie ingredient, feel free to replace it w/whatever veggie (or mixed veggies) you served as part of your holiday meal. IMO the recipe is meant to be a guideline & it will be so for me. ENJOY!"

Daily Inspiration

I didn't get around to making this at Thanksgiving, but since I froze some of my cornbread dressing to use later -- this recipe turned out to be a nice Thanksgiving remake. I used some rotisserie chicken and made some fresh gravy. The only other change I made was to use green peas vs. broccoli. This dish turned out really nice and it was like Thanksgiving all over again. Loved the addition of the ff onion rings on top.
