Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place sugar, star anise and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 7-10 minutes, or until syrupy.
Step 2
Let cool.
Step 3
Strain out the star anise. Return syrup to saucepan and add fruit.
Step 4
Poach over moderate heat until warmed through.
Step 5
Serve fruit with the syrup and whipped cream.
