"I keep a batch of this in my pantry for quick, easy meals. You need about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of the mixture per pound of meat. My husband adds a bit of boiling water and melted butter to the leftover mixture and has a side of seasoned mashed potatoes."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix together and store in a sealed container.

Step 2

When ready to use, dip the meat in melted butter or whisked eggs or hot sauce for a spicier coating, then press both sides of the meat in the potato flake mixture.

Step 3

Shake off excess mixture and bake, pan-fry or deep-fry, until cooked through. (According to weight and type of meat).

This is definitely some really good coating! Came out crunchy and so much good flavor. Used it for coating chicken tenders and they turned crunchy with so much good flavor. I can also see how it would also work beautifully for a fish fry. YUMMY! Thank you, Bea, for sharing.
