"These are delicious, and a new way to enjoy sweet potatoes. Best prepared on an outside grill, but an indoor grill pan works well too. This photo is a mix of this recipe as well as my Lemon Rosemary Grilled Potatoes, recipe also available here at Recipezazz"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Glaze ... Add all the ingredients to a small cup or bowl and whisk well. I prefer to use a small tupperware container and just shake. Make ahead, it is better after it sets.

Step 2

Potatoes ... This is one time when I don't use the microwave. Add the potatoes to a pot filled with cold water and bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and simmer 5-8 minutes until you can insert a knife easily, but you do NOT want them fork tender - they still need to be sliced and grilled. You just want to give them a head start.

Step 3

Slice and Grill ... Slice the potatoes in thick slices, brush with the glaze and cook 1-2 minutes per side, continuing to brush with the glaze. About 5 minutes and they should be done.

Step 4

Serve ... ENJOY! They are a great side dish. Spicy, but not too much, even kids love them.

Loved this recipe. The combination of flavors take the sweet potato to a new level. I didn't pre cook them and I did them in the oven - baked 20 minutes at 375. Thanks KC for making ours a tasty dinner
