Step by Step Method
Step 1
Trim all fat off meat, then cut the steak in to 4 inch strips, about 1/2 inch thick, it’s easier to cut meat partially frozen. Pound meat lightly, you don’t want it too thin.
Step 2
In a large bowl combine black pepper with next 8 ingredients. Add in beef strips, using your hands (fitted with plastic gloves) toss all together until the strips are well coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight (24 hours)
Step 3
Line cookie sheets with tin foil.
Step 4
Place steak strips on sheets, don’t overlap meat.
Step 5
Set oven at lowest temperature. (150-175°F).
Step 6
Bake six hours, turning after three hours.
Step 7
Jerky is done when meat is dried out, depending on your oven. Worth the wait!
