Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine 3/4 cup flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a mixer bowl-set aside.

Step 2

Place the milk, water and butter in a pan and heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is very warm ( approx 130F). Add the warm mixture to the above and and beat, at medium speed, for about 2 minutes.

Step 3

Change the paddle to a dough hook -slowly add the rest of the flour , a small amount at a time, until a very soft, somewhat sticky, smooth dough is formed.

Step 4

Let the dough sit in the bowl for approx 8 minutes-then scoop out the dough, form a ball, and place into a well buttered bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled and bubbly, light( approx 1 hour).

Step 5

Carefully, punch down the dough. Remove from the bowl and cut the dough into 10 pieces.

Step 6

Butter a 9" round cake pan well- place the dough pieces into the pan-cover with plastic wrap ( I usually spray with Pam so that the wrap doesn't stick to the dough). Let the dough rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.

Step 7

Preheat the oven to 375F- bake the rolls for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 8

Remove the pan from the oven and place on a rack-immediately brush the rolls with melted butter.

Step 9

Let cool in the pan before serving.

These are delicious rolls that are quite easy to make. The butter on the outside really adds to the flavor and the butter on the inside sends them over the top! Thank you for sharing your recipe with us Nat! Linda
