Step 1: Combine 3/4 cup flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a mixer bowl-set aside.
Step 2: Place the milk, water and butter in a pan and heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is very warm ( approx 130F). Add the warm mixture to the above and and beat, at medium speed, for about 2 minutes.
Step 3: Change the paddle to a dough hook -slowly add the rest of the flour , a small amount at a time, until a very soft, somewhat sticky, smooth dough is formed.
Step 4: Let the dough sit in the bowl for approx 8 minutes-then scoop out the dough, form a ball, and place into a well buttered bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled and bubbly, light( approx 1 hour).
Step 5: Carefully, punch down the dough. Remove from the bowl and cut the dough into 10 pieces.
Step 6: Butter a 9" round cake pan well- place the dough pieces into the pan-cover with plastic wrap ( I usually spray with Pam so that the wrap doesn't stick to the dough). Let the dough rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.
Step 7: Preheat the oven to 375F- bake the rolls for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8: Remove the pan from the oven and place on a rack-immediately brush the rolls with melted butter.
Step 9: Let cool in the pan before serving.
