Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Crust: Combine crumbs, butter and sugar in a small bowl, mix well and transfer to a 9 inch pie plate.

Step 3

Press evenly over bottom and sides.

Step 4

Bake until firm about 10 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 5

Filling: Bring cream to a boil in a small pan over medium high heat.

Step 6

Place chocolate in a bowl and pour cream on top. Let sit 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.

Step 7

Whisk in eggs and vanilla.

Step 8

Pour into crust and bake until set, about 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Step 9

Just before serving, preheat broiler to high, setting an oven rack 5 inches from heat source.

Step 10

Spread marshmallows over top of pie and broil until toasted, watching carefully to prevent scorching, 20-30 seconds.

this was a great treat! The only change was using chocolate chips instead of chopping the chocolate myself. Served with whipped cream. Thanks for sharing!
