"If you like ham and you like spices, such as, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, etc. this will be up your alley. It's one of my favorites and I've been making it throughout the years. Love how easy peasy it is too - all I have to do is place it in a crockpot before leaving for work or during the weekends when I've had chores galore........your home will be filled with wafting delicious aromas with the added bonus of a wonderful meal with little to no effort."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Press whole cloves into the ham so they are evenly distributed. You may score the ham for easier insertion if you wish. Place the ham in a slow cooker.
Step 2
Pour in the apple cider until only about 2 inches of ham is above the surface. Pack the brown sugar on top of the ham, pressing into the cloves. This will get washed away in the next step but any that stays on is a bonus.
Step 3
Pour the maple syrup over the ham. To the apple cider that is already in the slow cooker, add the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, ground cloves, vanilla, and orange peel, distributing evenly. Cover and set to Low. Cook for 8 to 10 hours. Enjoy!
