Step by Step Method
Step 1
Brown onion in bacon grease until golden brown. Add in the flour, stir to brown it.
Step 2
Add cider and beef stock gradually; cook until slightly thickened.
Step 3
Add in the cloves, parsley and tomato puree; cook by gently simmering until reduced to 2 cups. strain season with salt and pepper.
