"These are my favorite croutons. A little cheesy, and full of flavor - and, it is what I make most often. Now, obviously you can change up the cheese or seasonings; but, this combination is what I love best. A quick note regarding the cheese: A hard grated cheese is really what works best; soft cheeses do NOT work well. And, don't think you have to use Italian bead ... use what you have; and, day old bread works even better. Check out your grocer - many stores put the day old brad on sale; always good to take advantage of a sale, right? These will last a couple of weeks stored in an air tight container; but, also freeze well too."
