Step 1

FOR PATTIES: mix everything together but gravy. Form into 4 1/2 inch patties

Step 2

Place patties into pam-sprayed skillet. Cook on one side until browned. Flip then brown other side. Add in gravy; simmer

Step 3

Meanwhile, for mashed potatoes: heat water milk and dill

Step 4

Add in the potatoes then stir

Step 5

Add in sour cream (if to loose add a few more potato flakes). Keep warm while meat cooks

Daily Inspiration

We love salisbury steak and mashed potatoes so I knew we would enjoy this recipe. I did doctor up the gravy by sauteing onion and chopped fresh mushrooms in a little butter and added them to the gravy. I did not make instant mashed potatoes -- I boiled up some russet potatoes and added some butter, cream and a little sour cream. Great dinner -- served along with some Hidden Valley ranch dressing /brown sugar carrots. Great meal!
