Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir well. Cut the COLD butter into chunks and cut it into the flour until there are no pieces larger than the size of a pea.
Step 3
Add the milk and stir until just mixed (not too much!). If too wet, add more flour. If too dry, add more milk. It should not be dry OR gloppy!
Step 4
Drop the mixture onto a cookie sheet with a spoon. Leave room between biscuits because they will spread. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden on top. Serve immediately.
