Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Grease a 1-qt baking dish.
Step 3
In a skillet cook the diced bacon until crisp; drain and reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings.
Step 4
In the same skillet saute green pepper in drippings until tender; set aside.
Step 5
Drain one can of beans.
Step 6
In a bowl combine both cans of beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard and sauteed green pepper, pepper, salt and half the cooked diced bacon.
Step 7
Transfer to baking dish.
Step 8
Bake, uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
Step 9
Sprinkle with remaining diced bacon.
