Poppy Seed Cake (Half Recipe Option)
"Was given this when I lived In Utah. It used butter flavoring not melted butter. Butter flavoring can be found by the vanilla extract in your supermarket. I have seen a cookbook with this in it that changed butter flavoring to melted butter. This cake is so flavorful. Great for giving as gift at Christmas time.I usually make 1/2 the recipe for 1 loaf pan the recipe makes 2 loaf pans Don't be put off by the length of the recipe I posted both whole and a half recipe on same page. It mixes up fast"
