Step 1

Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Cover to keep warm.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in 10 inch skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain.

Step 3

Stir in pasta sauce and water. Reduce heat to medium, simmer uncovered 5 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in cooked pasta.

Step 5

In small bowl, mix sour cream and cheese.

Step 6

Spoon over pasta mixture.

Step 7

Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.

Hubby made this for a quick weekend supper and it was very tasty. I had rotini pasta on hand so he used that instead of ziti. The leftovers were great for lunch. Thank you Bea for sharing! Made and reviewed for the Ground Beef monthly tag game in the Game Forum.

Derf "RIP" Forever in our Kitchen

Makes a very easy week night supper with lots of flavour. Didn't have any zita pasta , used what i had, rainbow shapes veggie pasta, and our favourite sharp cheddar cheese. the touch of sour cream really added to the flavour of the dish. I will be making it again, thanks for posting.  Forgot to mention that i just made half a recipe for the two of us. it was more than enough/ .
