"I could never could bring myself to try this as a child, although my dear Father enjoyed it on his sandwich's. He loved it on crumpets, toast and as a sandwich spread. This is a very old family recipe, which I have converted to metric as well as having the old imperial measurement's. Way back I remember my Nan and mum ~ minced the meat in a grinder, but now days we have these inventions called food processors, which makes the job a lot easier."
Remove any fat or sinew from the meat and roughly chop the meat. Combine the meat with the other ingredients in a sacepan, then cover and simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours or until the meat is tender.Take care it does not burn!
Allow the meat to cool then puree in a food processor and transfer to a serving bowl to serve.
