Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 500 grams gravy beef (1 pound)
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon angostura bitters
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 150 grams onions, brown, chopped (2 onions)
  • 120 milliliters red wine, (1/2 cup)
  • 120 milliliters beef stock, (1/2 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Remove any fat or sinew from the meat and roughly chop the meat. Combine the meat with the other ingredients in a sacepan, then cover and simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours or until the meat is tender.Take care it does not burn!

  • Step 2: Allow the meat to cool then puree in a food processor and transfer to a serving bowl to serve.
