"Whenever I try a new Italian restaurant, I always order a Negroni. If they know how to make it, I know they serve truly great Italian food. It's hit or miss, because this is a classic cocktail that has lost its following. Don't know why, because it's wonderful (but potent!). Try one!"

Step 1
Stir the first three ingredients together in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into a coupe glass.
Step 2
Holding a lit match in one hand and the strip of orange peel in the other, squeeze the peel over both the match and glass, so the oils from the peel briefly flare up. Set the match aside and drop the twist in the drink.
