"Especially suitable for a Kentucky Derby party, but good any time. I've only had it mae with 7-Up, but presumably Sprite would be pretty similar. Preparation time does not include chilling time. Makes 5 1/2 quarts; number of servings assumes 5 oz punch cups. Mint garnish is optional in the sense that it still tastes good with out it, but the punch is definitely more "authentic" with the mint leaves."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine the jelly and 2 cups water in a saucepan and heat, stirring, over low heat until the jelly melts.
Step 2
Let cool completely.
Step 3
Add the bourbon, juices and 2 cups water and chill in the refrigerator until party time.
Step 4
To serve, pour the juice mixture over ice in a punch bowl.
Step 5
Slowly pour in 7-Up or Sprite, stirring gently.
Step 6
Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint leaves, if desired.
