Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 to 5 pound beef bottom round roast (or chuck roast)
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder (enough to cover roast well on all sides)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (enough to cover roast well on all sides)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Steak Seasoning (McCormick's enough to cover roast well on all sides)
  • 3 packages (4 ounce each) bouillon granules (Oxo Beef flavored sodium-free, in the red box, in with the bouillon cubes, DO NOT use regular bouillon cubes as it will make the roast too salty with the Steak Seasoning, If you don't want to use the packets, just use water enough to cover the roast up the sides, but not cover the top of the roast)
  • Water (enough to cover the roast up the sides, but not cover the top of the roast)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cover the entire roast with the onion powder, garlic powder and steak seasoning. Do not add any salt!

  • Step 2: Place roast in crock pot.

  • Step 3: Add the water to the crock pot, making sure it reaches all the way up the sides of the roast, but not covering the top.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle the bouillon packets over the water and mix in. Cover.

  • Step 5: Turn crock pot on low and cook for 3-5 hours, depending on size of roast and crock pot. Allow extra time just in case your crock pot is different than mine. It is done when the roast falls apart when you try to lift it with a fork.

  • Step 6: You can make gravy from the juices.
