Step by Step Method
Step 1
Divide lettuce between 4 salad bowls.
Step 2
Top each with 1/2 pear, some of the walnuts, some of the blue cheese.
Step 3
Drizzle 1 Tablespoon of dressing over each.
Step 4
Sprinkle on some green onion for garnish.
FOR THE VARIATIONS

Pan roast walnuts before using;

Substitute pecans, almonds, pine nuts, etc;

Sauté nuts with butter and sugar before using;

Substitute butter lettuce;

Substitute gorgonzola;

Substitute vinaigrette;

Don't chop pears, but place a half pear (cored) filled with dressing on top of lettuce, then sprinkle with cheese and nuts.
