Step 1

Cook sausage until brown, add garlic and basil. Sauté 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients: beans, tomatoes and beef broth. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, then remove from heat.

Step 2

Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Serve in soup bowl; sprinkle with Romano or Parmesan cheese. Deeeeeelicious!

For being such a simple recipe this was really amazing! I used just a little less sausage; otherwise, I followed the recipe closely. Also loved that this recipe uses a lot of ingredients that I have on hand.
