Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 3 leaves fresh basil
  • 1 (15 ounce)can butter beans
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans (beans may be substituted with beans of your choice)
  • 1 (15 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper
  • Grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook sausage until brown, add garlic and basil. Sauté 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients: beans, tomatoes and beef broth. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, then remove from heat.

  • Step 2: Season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Serve in soup bowl; sprinkle with Romano or Parmesan cheese. Deeeeeelicious!
