Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat a large saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add sausage, onion and chili flakes; cook stirring to crumble until browned (about 10 minutes) .

Step 3

Add broth, tomatoes, and pasta to pan, and bring to a boil over high heat.

Step 4

Reduce heat to low and simmer partially covered until pasta is done (about 15-20 minutes).

Step 5

Remove from heat; stir in spinach until wilted then mix in 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese.

Step 6

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 7

Ladle into bowls and top with more Parmesan cheese.
