"Like the Italian sausage sandwiches you get at an Italian festival with a turkey twist. Little less fat, little healthier this way, but with all the Italian fixings!"
Form Italian seasoned ground turkey into 4 burgers, set aside.
Heat grill or grill pan to high. Season burger patties with salt and pepper, if desired, and grill until pink, 6 minutes per side for medium. Add cheese and let melt, 1 minute.
Meanwhile, grill onion slices and bell peppers until charred, 4 minutes. Season with salt. Once cool enough to handle, slice peppers into strips and separate onion into rings.
Assemble burger: Spread bun bottom with marinara and top with patty, grilled peppers, onions, and basil.
