Editorial Notes

The ingredient tips, suggestions, variations, facts, questions and answers below are not edits to the original author's recipe. They are not meant to imply any change would improve the recipe. • When selecting the seafood medley, look for a bag with a mix of Mussels, Calamari, Scallops and Shrimp.
  • If you cannot find the fire roasted tomatoes, you can substitute diced tomatoes with garlic and onion.

  • For the olive oil, substitute with avocado oil. Avocado oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil, so it can be heated to a higher temperature without burning. This makes it a better choice for sautéing vegetables and proteins.
  • For the frozen seafood medley, substitute with fresh seafood. Fresh seafood is more flavorful and contains more nutrients than frozen seafood. It also cooks faster, so it is a better option for dishes that require quick cooking.

Lemony Cioppino Add 1 tablespoon of lemon zest and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the broth mixture before adding the frozen seafood. Increase the amount of fresh lemon juice to 2 tablespoons when stirring in the parsley.

Roasted Asparagus - Roasted asparagus is the perfect side dish to complement the rich flavors of the Cioppino. Roasting the asparagus brings out its natural sweetness and adds a crunchy texture to the meal. It's also a great way to add some healthy greens to your plate!

Crusty Garlic Bread: Crusty garlic bread is the perfect accompaniment to Cioppino. The crunchy texture and garlicky flavor of the bread pairs perfectly with the savory seafood stew. It's also a great way to soak up all the delicious flavors of the dish!
