Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300° Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Line large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3

Place popcorn in large mixing bowl.

Step 4

In small saucepan

Step 5

Set over medium heat, melt together butter, honey, matcha and salt, stirring until dissolved.

Step 6

Pour over popcorn

Step 7

Toss to combine.

Step 8

Spread onto baking sheet.

Step 9

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 10

Bake, stirring occasionally

Step 11

For 25 to 30 minutes or until popcorn is dry.

Step 12

Let cool completely before serving.

We love popcorn so you know we scoffed it down. Liked the texture that the oven dry provided, but the matcha flavor was lost even though I tripled it to 3 teaspoons. Therefore, added additional dry matcha to the finished popcorn, but it didn’t come through that much given that the toasty flavor of the popcorn masked it. However, it was enjoyed cause who doesn’t love popcorn. Thank you, Dee, for sharing.
