Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Brown ground beef in skillet. Season with 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of the dried rosemary. Drain grease.

Step 3

In another skillet, add the oil and 3 tablespoons of the butter, cabbage and onions. Season with the rest of the spices and saute till cabbage and onions are softened. Add in the cream cheese and milk and stir till cream cheese in melted in. Add in cream of mushroom soup and stir in till melted in. You may need more milk to make it a little thinner (about the consistency of diluted condensed soup).

Step 4

In a 8 x 11 inch baking pan, spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the cabbage mixture in first, top with American cheese slices, then browned ground beef.

Step 5

In a zip-lock bag, pour the stuffing mix cubes and pound out till slightly crushed but not completely crumbed. Pour on top of ground beef. Melt the rest of the butter and drizzle on top of stuffing mix.

Step 6

Bake in oven for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. or until bubbly.
