Step 1

Cut bananas in half lengthwise, then cut each piece in half crosswise.

Step 2

Stir together margarine or butter and 1 teaspoon of the orange juice.

Step 3

Brush mixture on all sides of banana pieces.

Step 4

Place bananas directly on the grill rack over medium-hot coals.

Step 5

Grill, uncovered, for 2 minutes; turn over and grill for 2 minutes more or until heated through.

Step 6

Meanwhile, in a heavy, medium skillet or saucepan combine the caramel topping and the remaining 1 teaspoon orange juice.

Step 7

Heat on the grill rack alongside bananas directly over the coals, or on a stove top, until bubbly. Stir frequently.

Step 8

Stir in cinnamon.

Step 9

Add bananas and stir gently to coat.

Step 10

To serve, scoop ice cream into 4 dessert dishes.

Step 11

Spoon sauce and bananas over ice cream.
