Step by Step Method
Step 1
Soak 8 wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat grill to medium-high and grease lightly.
Step 3
Cook bacon in a frying pan until beginning to crisp (but don't cook until really crisp, it should be able to bend around the scallop without breaking).
Step 4
Blot bacon slices on paper towels.
Step 5
Pat scallops dry and season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Wrap each scallop with a slice of bacon.
Step 7
Thread 3 scallops each on to wooden skewers.
Step 8
In bowl stir together the ketchup with honey, soy sauce, and garlic, brush half of the sauce mixture over the scallops.
Step 9
Grill kebobs for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until cooked through. Baste with remaining sauce during cooking.
