""This was in our local TV Cookbook called "KCTS Cooks" (favorite recipes) This was sent in by Eric Morse from Puyallup, Washington. He said this was handed down from his mother Lorraine, and everyone knew her as Grandma Larry, in Quilcene, Washington. He also said that you'll love this with chile! DH and I thought it rated a 5 star!""

Now I know where the term "the best thing since sliced bread" came from. It's due to this totally terrific cornbread and is much, much better than sliced bread for sure! It's wonderful tasting and I love how the butter that melts in the pan is added to the batter. It has that unique browned butter taste, oh Yum! I used about 3/4 cups milk and it came out perfect. The only thing I did wrong is let it go longer than I wanted to in the oven, due to being busy with a million and one things. Regardless, it was still moist and so very flavorful! thank you, Teresa, for sharing. Made it for PickMe tag.

Thank you for sharing this lovely recipe Teresa. Gramma Larry's Sweet Cornbread is amazing. We really enjoyed this tasty treat. It wasn't overly sweet, had a great flavor and the texture and crumb were perfect. Served with ribs and salad, for a memorable meal. Tonight we will enjoy it again with scallops salad and noodles... can't wait. Any leftovers will be frozen for stuffing. Made for Down Home Cooking Tag Game.
