Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oil in stock pot.

Step 2

Add beef and onions.

Step 3

Season to taste.

Step 4

Saute until onions are translucent.

Step 5

Add the corn and tomato paste.

Step 6

Saute briefly.

Step 7

Add chili powder, ground cumin, and cayenne pepper.

Step 8

Add the garlic, beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce and beef broth.

Step 9

Stir to combine and bring mixture to a boil.

Step 10

Simmer until the chili reduces by half

Step 11

For 30 minutes.

Step 12

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 13

Add cilantro unless you are my son Jim then use parsley.

Step 14

Mix.

This was a wonderful, easy to make chili. I had about a teaspoon of jalapeno from another recipe that I didn't know what to do with, so I threw it in this. Other than that, I followed as directed and ENJOYED with cornbread. Thanks for posting!
