Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cooks Tip: For the best results, use a baking sheet that is not too dark for this recipe; otherwise, watch the pita bread carefully as it burns easily.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 500°F.

Step 3

Separate each pita quarter into 2 pieces.

Step 4

Arrange in a single layer, rough side up, on an ungreased baking sheet.

Step 5

Brush evenly with the oil.

Step 6

In a small bowl, combine the parsley, chives, and garlic.

Step 7

Using your fingers, distribute the herb mixture evenly over the pita quarters.

Step 8

Sprinkle evenly with coarse salt.

Step 9

Bake on the top rack of the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the pita quarters are nicely toasted.

Delightfully crispy! I used parsley, chives & garlic from my garden to make this. And took took them with my roasted carrot dip to a get together and they soon were gone! Thanks for sharing!

I scaled back to use one pita bread round and they very much reminded me of the pizza pane we get at our favourite Italian restaurant but at a fraction of the price and with very little effort, nice and crispy with lots of flavour, thank you Engrossed made for the Pick Me tag game under the 48 hour rule.

I made this with whole wheat pita bread that I had to use up and sent it off in DH's lunch. He really liked this with salsa sauce. Made for the Pick Me! Recipe Tag Game.
