Step by Step Method

Step 1

Fill a large glass jar or pitcher with 4 cups of water.

Step 2

Add the black tea bags to the water.

Step 3

Place the sliced lemon and mixed berries in the jar as well.

Step 4

Stir in the honey until it dissolves completely.

Step 5

Securely cover the jar with a lid or a piece of cheesecloth to keep out any debris or insects.

Step 6

Set the jar in a sunny spot, such as a windowsill or outdoor table.

Step 7

Let the tea steep in the sun for 2 to 4 hours, allowing the flavors to infuse and the tea to brew naturally.

Step 8

Once the tea has reached your desired strength, remove the tea bags and strain out the lemon slices and berries, if desired.

Step 9

Pour the sun-brewed tea into glasses filled with ice cubes.

Step 10

Garnish with fresh lemon slices or berries, if desired.

SO GOOD! We loved this iced tea! I particularly loved the lemon and berry flavors shining through. I typically don't go for sweet tea, but the honey was a pleasant addition! Since I'm not a sweet tea drinker, I may decide to half the amount of honey next time....and there will be many more times over this summer. This is a winner! I doubled the ingredients to have a large jug full. I'm looking forward to more delicious iced tea today. Thank you!
