"I made this using some ham from my "Freezer Stash" and a few pantry and fridge staples.If you like, you can make this more of a " One Dish Meal " add any leftover vegetable(s)you have on hand.And if just using salt & pepper isn't your style,add whatever seasonings to the sauce that you like.The cook time for the pasta is included in the " Prep " time.This recipe is meant for a main dish, if you want to serve more more people just add another side dish. Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook pasta according to package directions,drain and set aside.

Step 2

In the same pan over low heat melt 2 Tablespoons of margarine,add onions and cook until tender.

Step 3

Add remaining margarine and melt,then add flour and cook until flour taste has disappeared.

Step 4

Stir in milk a little at a time, until desired thickness is reached.

Step 5

Remove from heat and add cubed Velveeta,stirring until completely blended.

Step 6

Add salt,pepper & whatever other seasonings you might be using.

Step 7

Stir in cooked pasta and ham until well coated.

Step 8

Pour into a 2 quart rectangular baking dish which has been prepared with cooking spray.

Step 9

If using optional ingredients,sprinkle top of casserole with cheese and paprika.

Step 10

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
