Step 1: Cook pasta according to package directions,drain and set aside.
Step 2: In the same pan over low heat melt 2 Tablespoons of margarine,add onions and cook until tender.
Step 3: Add remaining margarine and melt,then add flour and cook until flour taste has disappeared.
Step 4: Stir in milk a little at a time, until desired thickness is reached.
Step 5: Remove from heat and add cubed Velveeta,stirring until completely blended.
Step 6: Add salt,pepper & whatever other seasonings you might be using.
Step 7: Stir in cooked pasta and ham until well coated.
Step 8: Pour into a 2 quart rectangular baking dish which has been prepared with cooking spray.
Step 9: If using optional ingredients,sprinkle top of casserole with cheese and paprika.
Step 10: Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
