"This cake was tested using a Duncan Hines orange cake mix. Remember to use Orange Crush Soda in place of the water for the cake, and also orange soda with the Jello. Plan ahead there is chilling time for this cake"

Step 1

Prepare then bake the cake in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan (using orange soda in place of the water). Cool completely.

Step 2

When cooled, using a wooden meat skewer or a large meat fork poke holes all over the cake. In a bowl mix large 6 ounce box of Jello with the 1 1/2 cups hot water and 1 cup orange soda; allow to sit until just starting to set up. Slowly pour over the cooled cake and allow to run into holes. Chill cake for about 2 or more hours or until cold.

Step 3

For the frosting; in a bowl beat the cheese until creamy. Add the dry Jello powder, pudding mix, light cream or milk and the vanilla; beat until thoroughly combined. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on cake and chill until served.
