Step by Step Method

Step 1

Prepare then bake the cake in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan (using orange soda in place of the water). Cool completely.

Step 2

When cooled, using a wooden meat skewer or a large meat fork poke holes all over the cake. In a bowl mix large 6 ounce box of Jello with the 1 1/2 cups hot water and 1 cup orange soda; allow to sit until just starting to set up. Slowly pour over the cooled cake and allow to run into holes. Chill cake for about 2 or more hours or until cold.

Step 3

For the frosting; in a bowl beat the cheese until creamy. Add the dry Jello powder, pudding mix, light cream or milk and the vanilla; beat until thoroughly combined. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on cake and chill until served.
