Step by Step Method
Step 1
In sauce pan, mix grapefruit juice, water and sugar.
Step 2
Bring to a boil.
Step 3
Mix the slurry.
Step 4
Pour into boiling juice mixture.
Step 5
Mix egg yolks and temper into juice a little at a time, whisking constantly until thickened.
Step 6
Pour into baked pie shell.
Step 7
Cool slightly.
Step 8
Cover with meringue that you have made by beating salt and egg whites stiff adding sugar gradually.
Step 9
Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes until meringue is golden brown.
