Step 1

Mix the meat and seasonings egg and bread.

Step 2

Form oval patties in cast iron or oven proof skillet.

Step 3

Brown formed patties on each side (Don't cook all the way through).

Step 4

Add water and gravy mix and mushrooms if you want to.

Step 5

Put in 425° oven for 30 minutes until patties are cooked and gravy is thick. (Check several times to make sure you don't need to add water, all ovens are different mine is old and slow--lol).

I made this as per listed with great tasting results. I did not use mushrooms and served this over mashed potatoes and turnip. Great flavours here! I packed the left-overs away for lunch which just as good the second day around.
