"I recently got a WONDERFUL deal on some ground beef and wanted a stew. I looked through quite a few recipes and couldn't find anything that struck my fancy. So, with the ingredients on hand I created this.As with all my recipes, please adjust the seasonings to yours and your families tastes. Posted to ZAZZ on 4/3/17. " Keep Smiling :) ""
In a medium size skillet over medium heat add ground beef and onion, sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper.
While meat is browning, prep potatoes and carrots.
Place prepped vegetables in crock pot.
Drain ground beef and add to the vegetables.
Pour soup over vegetables and beef mix well.
If the mixture seems to be too thick, and a bit of broth and stir well.
Then mix in oregano and garlic powder.
After 6 hours, eat and enjoy.

This stew smelled amazing while cooking and couldnt wat to sit down and enjoy it. I ran out of beef broth so I used an undiluted can of french onion soup and used about 1 1/2 pounds of ground sirloin. Warmed us up on a cold rainy day, perfect comfort food. Made and reviewed for the What"s On The Menu? game.
I just put this all together first thing in the morning, turned it on at 11:30 . At 6PM I had a lovely flavourful dinner. I did take a couple of liberties to use up "stuff" I had in the fridge. I used small nugget potatoes, added about 1/2 cup of tomato sauce and teaspoon of chili flakes. Thanks for an easy very enjoyable dinner.
Very good. The only change I made was using celery salt for the seasoned salt and cream of mushroom for the soup. Not sure how much garlic powder to use so I gave it a good sized sprinkle. Used 4 carrots and 4 medium sized potatoes. Thanks for sharing!
